The Western Massachusetts Public Utilities
Council (WMPUC) is a Western Massachusetts
municipal utility joint action agency created in
1991
Consisting of:
- Westfield Gas & Electric
- Chicopee Electric Light Department
- Holyoke Gas & Electric Department
- South Hadley Light Department
WMPUC has a combined service territory of more
than 100 square miles streching along the
Connecticut River valley between Springfield and
Northampton.
WMPUC provides energy services to over 77,000
residences and almost 9,000 commercial and
industrial facilities.
